Crab Apple Malus ‘Sutyzam’ Sugar Tyme™

A vigorous new Crab Apple that is attractive throughout the year. Malus ‘Sutyzam’ Sugar Tyme™ is an excellent choice for small parks and gardens where space is limited. May also be suitable for street planting.

Upright oval-rounded, open branched habitat.

Bright green narrow leaves with a sharply serrated margin turn yellow in autumn.

Fragrant, pale pink buds opening to single snow white flowers in spring. Vivid red crab apples on long slender stalks, maturing in autumn and persisting well into winter. Highly ornamental.

Greyish-brown bark, shiny, becoming scaly.

Tolerates varied soil conditions, but prefers a moist, fertile, well drained acidic soil. Reported (overseas) to have very good disease resistance. Very Hardy. Should be planted in full sun for optimum flowering and fruiting. Highly floriferous, easily cultivated small tree.
