Matthiola incana, also called Dward Stock, are popular bedding plants are very easy to grow and make fine cut flowers. The brightly coloured blooms, many of them double, are delightful in garden borders and have a splendid scent. A half hardy annual, flowering the same year in sun or partial shade.
Keep your plants well watered and feed them with liquid fertiliser once a fortnight. Removing spent blooms will help to keep plants tidy and extend the flowering time.
